Competing College Teams
History of the WSCAI Intervarsities Competition
Women's soccer at third level in Ireland began competitively in 1983 with the first Intervarsity tournament in University College Dublin. In the first few years the Intervarsity championship was the main tournament.
Inter Varsities is a three day tournament run on grass. The teams are seeded and randomly drawn into four groups. Each game throughout the tournament shall last eighty minutes. The winner of each group shall progress to the Cup semi-finals with the second team in each group going into the plate semi-finals.
